M&S Home by Conran voted Best Department Store of the Year
Conran and Partners’ retail concept for the M&S Home department was awarded the Best Department Store of the Year award last night at the Retail Week Interiors Awards.
Fighting off competition from industry heavyweights John Lewis, Harvey Nichols and Harrods, our design for M&S, which brings the inspiration of the catalogue and convenience of online to the store, impressed Retail Week’s judges with its vision for a reinvigorated high street.

Simon Kincaid, who leads our retail design team, emphasised the significance of the win:
“This project was about making the most of the high street retail’s traditional strengths – customer service, and the ability to touch and feel products – while bringing in technology to enhance the experience. We worked very closely with M&S to produce something that is beautiful, that sells product, and that could be applied across M&S’s range of stores.
“Naturally, we’re delighted with this vote of confidence in our approach.”
